The company Antik Batik was founded in 1992 by Christophe Sauvat, creator and designer of the Paris market and Gabriella Cortese. Starting the company with sarongs made with batik special designs and creations (a very well-known silk printing technique), Antik Batik has become a ready-to-wear Paris ethnic inspiration brand. Batik Art is coming from Bali, the art of Lace Knitting and the Embroidery is coming from Peru and Bandhani technique from India. The brand is distributed worldwide, primarily in Europe and in the Middle East.
